Good day guys, im working on a Samsung LED backlight tv, the problem i changed one blown LED and it ran for couple weeks, when I open it for backlight problem again its the same LED that i changed blown again. i think its not the right voltage, but that is the only ones i have from another strip (i just cut it and wired it to the strip on top).
Either it will have backlight bleed, clouding or black lines vertical or horizontal across the screen. Usually noticed when panning out or on all blue screen . Sky screen for example. I know this for a fact as I bought a Samsung led model ue46es5500 last sep . I brought the tv home happy with my purchase till I turned it on . The power board model is BN44-00774A. Backlight should light up with the main board cable disconnected from the power supply. If they don't, suspect LED strips though shorted LEDs have been known to cause failure in Samsung power supplies as well. Tricky to confirm without a LED tester. Tried, no backlight.

But before saying it for sure try to do a Reset. Press and hold the reset button on your tv for 20 sec., release reset button (now your tv is powered off). The last step is to power on again. Let me know if works or not. Good luck. 0. L. learningcurve72. Jan 13, 2022.
